A turntable with solid sound and classy looks
The Cambridge Audio Alva ST looks great for the same reason it sounds superb — it was carefully designed with precise attention to detail. A three-layer plinth with an attractive aluminum top plate absorbs unwanted resonance, and the thick aluminum platter includes a vibration-damping rubber mat.
The platter is spun with ear-pleasing accuracy by the 'table's belt-drive motor. And the static balanced aluminum tonearm includes a pre-installed Audio-Technica moving magnet cartridge so you can get started playing your treasured vinyl soon after unboxing.
Convenient setup options
The 'table features a built-in switchable phono preamplifier that lets you make a wired connection to just about any receiver, integrated amp, or powered speakers you have in your sound system.
And if you don't want to make wired connections at all? Good news, there's also built-in Bluetooth with high-res aptX® HD encoding that lets you pair with a compatible receiver, headphones, or powered speakers.
