Big sound from a pair of versatile speakers
Klipsch The Nines speakers offer extended frequency response and plenty of connections — they can easily serve as the primary speakers in your entertainment system. They have a very elegant look — with real wood veneer and metal knobs and switches — and deliver classic Klipsch sound quality. Each boasts an 8" high-excursion woofer and a 1" tweeter in the company's signature Tractrix® horn.
There's no need for a receiver; the active speaker has a built-in amplifier that delivers 240 watts of total power — 100 watts to each woofer, and 20 watts to each tweeter. A left/right switch on the back lets you choose the speaker configuration that works best for you.
Plenty of connections
The active speaker features an HDMI ARC port, so you can boost the sound coming from a compatible TV. There's also an optical digital audio input, plus a USB Type B input for connecting your computer. The stereo RCA analog audio input can be used to connect a standard line-level source like a CD player, or you can switch on the built-in phono preamp and connect a turntable. And there's Bluetooth for streaming music from your mobile device.
These speakers deliver plenty of low end, but there's a mono RCA output for adding an optional powered subwoofer if you really want to feel the bass.
