To celebrate its history, Wharfedale has established the Heritage Series recreations of famous models from its past, entirely re-engineered using contemporary techniques and materials. The latest loudspeaker to join this collection is the Linton.

The original Linton debuted in 1965 and the line continued in various iterations until the end of the 1970s. It was a classic model of its time, viewed as a serious hi-fi speaker but also relatively affordable. Its cabinet was substantial, big enough to hold three drive units including a good-sized bass unit, yet not overly unwieldy by the standards of the day.

The new Linton has a clear family resemblance. It, too, is a three-way standmount model – a rarity in the modern era – retaining similar proportions to the classic Linton models. Its wood-veneered cabinet has a vintage look, yet the standard of finish is distinctly contemporary.

Everything you want in a Rock and Roll speaker!

I purchased a pair of mahogany Linton's right before Christmas and have been enjoying them in my listening area/work space. They are beautiful! They sound great! I'm no expert, but they seem to have a large soundstage, a detailed, easy to listen to sound and perform well at low and high power. I have a Monolith 2 channel, 200W amp that I run to the speakers. For now I'm using a Yamaha Aventage RX-A850 as the receiver. The other night I played Van Halen's 1984 album. By the end of Hot for Teacher, I had it blasting at max power. It was glorious! Thank you Just Audio for the recommendation and the listening session. You made the purchase worry free, which is nice.

Vintage Vibe

Really like my new Wharfedale Linton Heritage speakers. They look great, especially with the stands, and they sound sensational. Not too bright. The perfect compliment to my vintage Pioneer Amp and vinyl setup. Could not be happier.
